Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose your dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Fore and Aft - Pet-friendly has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, email the host before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
