Tricks and tips to get the very best rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Glam-ping by the Sea, 1 Bdr 1 Ba in Ocean Lakes has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
