Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Choose your dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Great location in the Heart of Carolina Forest has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
