Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- To find the largest rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Choosing the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- First and foremost, have your family select a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Great location in the Heart of Carolina Forest has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
Advice for a great stay:
- Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
