Tips to get the best vacation property experience:
Sticking to a rental home budget:
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- To find the best value, change your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Make a plan and choose yourrental:
- First and foremost, have your family decide on the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Huge 2 Bed\/2 Bath at AAA Four Diamond Resort by Luxury Beach Rentals has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
