Strategies to get the optimal rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Renovated Oceanfront - Ground Floor - Great Pools! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
More considerations:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
