Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Harbour Lights Resort
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you love, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More tips for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Document any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
