Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Holiday Towers #4 Lovely condo on the beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
