How to book the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Horizons at 77th - 3 Bedroom has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Know before you go:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- At Check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
