Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to pick the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Immaculate Ocean Lakes Beach House! \"Oceanview Oasis\"-Walking Distance to the Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your invoice.
More considerations:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. text the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
