Strategies for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
How to select the best rental:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Impeccable Golf View- 4 BDs- Pools - Near Broadway has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is right for your family.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
