The departure cleaning fee is in place to compensate the cleaner, the cost of toiletries, and the laundering of the towels, linens, and linens. While we do our absolute best to ensure that all of our condos are cleaned, prepared, and comfortable for all of our guests, we do want to note that this resort is over 60 years old. Rental property booking tips:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectvacation home:
- Choose your vacation dates and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Incredible Views! Sea Mist Resort 51610 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
