The departure cleaning fee is in place to compensate the cleaner, the cost of toiletries, and the laundering of the towels, linens, and linens. Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Incredible Views! Sea Mist Resort 51610 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Advice for a great stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
