Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
Get the best rental home value:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Jacana Cabana - your relaxing oceanside escape! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
