Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by selecting your vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean Front 3 BR - Caribbean 1407 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
