How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Filter your rental search:
- First and foremost, have your group agree to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Lady Myrtle - Across from ocean - Garage has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
