Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To find the best rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Astonishing view great condo at Myrtlewood Villas has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
