Strategies for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to go & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your vacation dates and budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Astonishing view great condo at Myrtlewood Villas has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
