Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.
How to select the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Great Direct Oceanfront 1 BR\/1BA central location has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
During your stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
