How to get the best rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Sand and Surf Beach House-Ocean Lakes\n5 Bedroom Family Beach House has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
