Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Narrow your Search:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Large Family Friendly Condo- Beautiful Views of the Pool, Courtyard and Ocean has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If not, email or call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
Know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas during check in. message the host immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
