Tricks and tips to get the optimal rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:

Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
