How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Lollipops Beach House - Four Bedroom, Three Bath, Private Pool in Long Bay has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
