Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- Begin by choosing your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. A224 Myrtle Beach Resort: Lovely 2 Bed 2 Bath Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
