What to Expect During the Renovation: Minimizing Disruptions
We understand the importance of a calming, enchanting stay for our guests, even as we make these improvements. That’s why our resort will remain open throughout the renovation period. Renovations will begin in early October and are expected to finish by the end of March. We’re working floor by floor in both the Dominican and Cayman buildings, ensuring the least amount of disruption.
Here’s what you can expect during this time:
Construction will only take place during normal business hours, and any noise will be kept to a minimum.
Common areas such as the lobby, exercise center, and game room may be temporarily closed, but we’re doing everything we can to offer alternative amenities when possible.
We aim to keep your experience as seamless and comfortable as possible while we work to make it even better!

Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Finding your perfect rental:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking a perfectrental:
- Select your dates and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Coastal Comfort Ocean View 2BDR Condo 16th Floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If not, call the host before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Additional considerations:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
