Strategies to get the very best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning, selecting, and booking your prefectvacation home:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Lovely 3BR condo in the heart of Myrtle Beach! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your family.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
