Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Luxury 3 Bed 3 Bath w\/ oceanfront master - Available by Luxury Beach Rentals has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is best for your trip.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you crave, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More considerations:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
