Our top Vacation rental home tips:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • First, have your family decide on dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Luxury Oceanfront Condo, Stunning Views Multiple Pools Sandy Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many issues.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, record any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
