Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips and tricks:
Finding your best deal:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and pick your prefectrental:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Magnolia Point Unit 105 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
