Beyond is the entirely equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, tableware, and cookware). Off the kitchen is the utility room with a washer and dryer, cleaning amenities, and beach chairs. Continue toward the back and find a full bathroom with a shower, a door to the back patio, and a staircase. The fenced, private rear deck features a table, chairs, an umbrella, and a charcoal grille.
Moving upstairs, you’ll find two cavernous bedrooms plus a full bathroom with a tub and shower off the hallway. Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation home experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Choosing and booking your Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. “Mermaid’s Dream” Short Walk from the Waves & Pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a terrific stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
