Vacation rental tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Selecting and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. MINUTES TO THE BEACH, PRIVATE LOCATION, FIRST FLOOR CONDO has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
