Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Planning and choosing your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Modern 2BR villa at Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
