Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose and book the perfectvacation home:

  • First, have your family choose vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Modern Oceanfront King Studio-Sand Dunes 2432 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
