Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
How to get the best value:
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning and choosing your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by having your family choose date ranges and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. N MYRTLE BEACH QUIET RESORT Short Walk To Beach, Lots of sleeping space! RELAX! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
