Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Myrtle Beach Resort A350
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
