How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, picking, and booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- First and foremost, have your group select the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Myrtle Beach Resort B0341 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before you book your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
