Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.
Narrow your Search:
- Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Myrtle Beach Resort Ocean View has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. Otherwise, call the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
