Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose and book the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Myrtle Beach Villas 304A - 6 Bedroom Condo has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
More tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
