Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanfront, steps to beach-1208 Sand Dollar Dr, ocean view from every room\/deck has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
