Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your search:
- Select your dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Oceanfront, steps to beach-1208 Sand Dollar Dr, ocean view from every room\/deck has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
