Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • To find the best value, consider changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. MyrtleWoods beautiful first floor condo+pool has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Contact the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
