Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to select the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. N Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Vacation Rental! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the host before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Know before you go:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. text the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
