Tips to get the optimal rental home experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • To find the best value, shift your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the rightvacation home:

  • Start by having your group commit to trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. V16 Somewhere in the Sun for high end upgrades has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is best for your group.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
