Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to pick the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Sunny Shore Drive Retreat has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
