Strategies to get the very best rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- First and foremost, have your group decide on the best dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Cumberland Terrace 5E Kingston resort, Pools,Beach has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
