Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. New Corner Suite, Direct Ocean & City Views,Glass! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
