Getting the best vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To book the best rental within your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Finding the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Spacious Modern Condo One Block to the Beach ???? Pool ???? has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is suitable for your trip.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Record any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
