How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to choose the best rental home:

  • Select a group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Sea Watch1707 Oceanfront Indoor\/Outdoor pool\/Beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
