Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
