Tips and Tricks for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain discounts for local tours and attractions.
Make a plan and choose a perfectvacation home:
- Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. New Direct Oceanfront Beautiful Decor Monterey Bay has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
