Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
When to visit & When to book:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking your Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by having your family decide on vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Gorgeous, Spacious Direct Oceanfront 2Br\/2Ba At Atlantica Resort Phase 3 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Additional considerations:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
