Rental booking tips:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • To get the best value, consider changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. A504 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Wave Hello to Relaxation has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
