Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectrental home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. A504 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Wave Hello to Relaxation has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often available online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure damages are not linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
