How to find the best vacation home experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. New, King Suite @ Caravelle Resort, Direct Views! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your group is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
