How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Choosing and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. New Landmark Resort Direct Oceanfront, High Floor! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is right for your vacation.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

During your stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Upon arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
